Step it up with Black Reign!

Hey SU! Did you know we have step teams on campus? This group goes by Black Reign. Founded in Spring 2005, Black Reign aims to showcase the art of stepping through fellowship, unity, discipline and precision.

I attended my first Black Reign performance during my freshman year. Since then, I have been a fan of their work. Their performances include high-energy, quick, precise movements that will have you out of your chair and on your feet in no time.

What’s interesting about Black Reign is they do not use music.  Instead, they rely on the beat from their hands and feet. Each movement is carefully crafted and requires an enormous amount of precision and discipline. Still, Black Reign manages to meet the challenges of this unique dance form. They certainly live up to their reputation as the best steppers on campus!
